Project Details:

This project involved the comprehensive strip-out and preparation of a former River Island retail unit to facilitate its transformation into a new PureGym facility.

The works commenced with the complete demolition of the existing store, including the removal of the lift shaft and staircase. All mechanical and electrical services, internal partitions, suspended ceilings, floor coverings, and redundant fixtures were stripped back to create a clean shell ready for redevelopment.

Structural and external refurbishment works included roof and cladding repairs, the recoating of all rainwater gutters, and the respraying of the entire shopfront, including all mullions and frames, to provide a refreshed external appearance. The existing lift pit was infilled, and the entire floor slab was mechanically ground to create a level, high-quality surface suitable for the incoming tenant’s fit out.

To ensure compliance with current building regulations, fire stopping was installed to all perimeter walls, and all existing external signage was carefully removed.

The completed landlord enabling package delivered a fully prepared shell, allowing PureGym to commence its fit out works efficiently and ensuring the unit was ready for its next phase of occupation.
